Bringing Flexy Back!

Yes, that's right... I said "flexy".

Next month is all about getting fit and flexy in my online group - let me clarify...

We always have a focus on improving overall health, but I want to make sure that there's an option given to beginners, folks who need to reduce impact on their joints, and those that just need to switch up their training style because they've hit a plateau.  A yoga-based workout is going to be a great way to address those issues and more.

Now, don't get bent out of shape because I mentioned yoga (see what I did there ;) ).  This is a stripped down fundamentals course.  No need to be a guru.  Everyone can get started without feeling intimidated because they're not familiar with yoga culture or because they're not what they envision as a yogi (neither am I).

Here's what you can expect...

Momlife Mondays - Maybe

Let me expand on that title...  I'm thinking about starting a feature called "Momlife Mondays" where I share a little about what I'm feeding my little guy and/or what workout he's doing.  Why the maybe?  Because I'm not really sure that's something you all want to see.  So we'll try it out and see if it sticks.  ;)

For this first feature I wanted to take you into Bean's lunch bag...
If you want the recipe for the balls, let me know and I'll post that as well. I aim to please!

Here's a pic so you can see the brand of everything (except for the Shakeology balls, which I made myself)

* Strawberries
* Blue Diamond Almond Nut-Thins
* Bare Coconut Chips (those are in the container with his Shakeo balls)
* Bolthouse Farms Classic Ranch Yogurt Dressing
* Carrots
* Oscar Meyer Selects Natural Turkey Breast
* Kraft Slim Cut Extra Sharp White Cheddar

Southwest Egg Muffin

It's that time of year when most of my friends start their morning off with a warm bowl of oatmeal and reminisce about the days when their moms would sit the bowl out for them before sending them outside in 2 pairs of pants, thermals, sweaters, coats, and of course, a pom pom hat.

Those were the days, but today is a new day - a day that begins with southwestern protein goodness.  Not only is it yummy, but much of the prep work can be done in advance and you can get some things done before heading out the door while these babies are cooking! (Now, if you want to feel nostalgic, you can wear thermals while you cook this)
